When Bill and Melinda Barber started their business over 30 years ago they began by building custom homes in Highlands and Cashiers, North Carolina. As the business grew, Melinda took over the design aspect of each home while Bill handled the construction. This quickly expanded with customers requesting "after construction" coordination to finish with outstanding and unique furnishings, lighting, fabrics, colors, and more. Today, Melinda has her own firm and offers every aspect of design from one room at a time to whole house new construction.

Melinda moved to the Highlands-Cashiers area 19 years ago and continued the design passion she created living in Atlanta for over 20 years. Her team has had the pleasure of working with many happy clients to bring their personalities into designing their homes. Excelling in the area of traditional, transitional, and mountain modern every project is an adventure. From neutrals to a culmination of color, Melinda and her team of professionals have created a signature style and work easily with clients who own multiple homes.
